A new year. A new look and website. And a world calling for renewed possibilities.

Welcome to 2017. And welcome to the new Vital Edge website with a fresh look—and to my blog.

We enter 2017 with big questions. Major changes have been thrust upon us, in ways many of us never experienced before.

Whether we work in the private, nonprofit, or public sector, we are called to be brighter sparks; to learn to engage with others in deeper and more meaningful ways; and to recognize and leverage the positive impacts we can have on others and our planet.

These are not things we do only on our own or in our spare time. They are parts of the work we do everyday in our organizations and in and across our communities.

If you work in the private sector, the need for focusing on the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profits—has never been stronger. If you work in the nonprofit or public sector, greater action toward genuine equity and justice is imperative. This means examining our systems, structures, priorities, and relationships—and changing those that need to be changed. 

We are all called to help light the way together. We can do this in how we lead; how we work together; how we do business together; how we come together in community—and how we talk about what we do.

May 2017 bring us all a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to a brighter future for all.
